Rock climbing exported as "Other".

When you log a "Rock Climbing" activity, it is syncing to other services as "Other".

This is from the tcx:
<Activities>
<Activity Sport="Other">
<Id>2017-03-20T19:00:55.000Z</Id>
<Lap StartTime="2017-03-20T19:00:55.000Z">
<TotalTimeSeconds>0.0</TotalTimeSeconds>
<DistanceMeters>0.0</DistanceMeters>
<Calories>0</Calories>
<Intensity>Active</Intensity>
<TriggerMethod>Manual</TriggerMethod>
<Extensions>
<ns3:LX/>
</Extensions>
</Lap>
</Activity>

As a result, this is appearing as "Other" on Endomondo and Mapmyrun, both of which have "Rock Climbing" categories you could be using.

If you exported this as "Climbing" or Rockclimbing

    I would like to go one step further and have "rock climbing" category in my Fenix that maps to climbing in endomondo

    I think this has been fixed. My recent Garmin Connect logs of climbing are now appearing correctly in Endomondo

    The TCX format in general is pretty limiting. It only supports three possible values in the "<Activity Sport="________">" filed...

    • Running
    • Biking
    • Other

    However, syncing is different than exporting and importing. There is, I believe, a more sophisticated exchange happening there (versus just passing a TCX file). So that makes sens that the issue seems to be effectively fixed for you.
