225 forerunner bluetooth connection

Hi,

Although I have extensively searched this forum for my problem, this forum seems to have the same issues as my 225/iphone/garmin support.........No connectivity or synchronicity whatsoever.

I have had my 225 for a couple of years and up until now it has been perfect. For 2 months now my phone sees the passcode on my watch, waits for a bit and says connection failed. I have reset the watch, deleted and reinstalled the app, RESET MY PHONE!!!!!! and even sacrificed an albatross at midsummer. No joy. No response from Garmin. No interest in buying another Garmin product.

Any ideas before I bin this piece of plastic that tells the time?

  • Same issue to me with my forerunner 225 and my new phone pixel 3a (android version 10). I cannot perform the bluethooth connection. My phone see the watch but the connection is not established. I have seen some issuse like that with another garmin watch and android 10 on the web. @garmin Do you plan to schedule some minor update about that issue on our old watch. What are the terms of support?
