Can Walking be added to Activity choice in addition to Run & Run Indoor?

I was a runner until Open Heart Surgery on Jan. 6. Not allowed right now. Had just gotten new Garmin 235 for Heart Rate/Intensity monitoring with the audio alerts. Can only choose Run/Run Indoor as activity when I start, then have to edit name and type later. Can it be a choice like top 3 of always monitored or to choose? I was able to add walk as separate activity choice on my FitBit Surge.
  • I guess it's device specific because my VivoActive HR does have Walk and Walk Indoor and they do transpose to the same in Connect. Try asking in the Forerunner 235 forum.
  • Click on the link to my apps in my sig. I have an app called 'Simple Walk" that will record an outdoor walk (Hike will too, and also record Hiking) There's also an indoor walking app. The 23x doesn't have native apps for walking or hiking.

I will look for that forum, just got device and did not know about the forum. Your answer helpful though as now thinking just not option for this device. I appreciate your thinking on this.

Thank you for your information not sure I would have thought about separate App. Am going to look. You saved me frustration time looking to do something not native to my device model.
