"There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect"

Couldn't find my Garmin dongle for a while so I wasn't able to update or upload anything in a long time.

I have Garmin Express installed, my Connect account set up.

And I keep getting this message: There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect. I have reinstalled Garmin Express, deleted Garmin ANT (??), deleted my device and reconnected it to my Garmin Express profile.

Running out of ideas here to make this work!

Anyone?

    Update ...

I did a hard reset on my Forerunner 410.

I can now sync with Garmin Express - I get the sync complete! message and 'transfer completed' on my watch... Should be good right?

But no luck getting anything in Garmin Connect...

    Anyone can help with this?

Forerunner 410 sync's just fine if HRM and Foot Pod not used

Because Celine mentioned in a different post that she can't import if HR is involved, I ran several tests with my Forerunner 410. If I used my HRM and/or Foot Pod, I could not sync. If I used the Forerunner with or without GPS but no HRM or Foot Pod, things sync'd just fine. I also discovered that even if the sync failed, the files still got uploaded to my PC into C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Devices\3852102596\Sync\FitnessHistory\, where 3852102596 appears to be an ID# for my Forerunner (it's NOT its serial number). I wrote a quick & dirty program to read those unsync'd files and create Activities and Split spreadsheets.

Bob_L: are you able to import those unsync'd files into Garmin Connect?

For the moment, I have reverted back to the old softwares to see my data.

Both old and new uploaded files now sync'd

To answer your question, I was NOT able to manually import uploaded files that did not sync. However, several days ago, I discovered that my uploads were now syncing, even the old files (and I didn't have to do anything to have THAT happen).

    all is fine now!

After seeing the latest post in my thread, I tried again. Everything, even from last month, uploaded and shows up in my activities. Yay!

    Well, not all fine

Ok - I was going through my 'old' recent data - when I was having issues transfering it all to Garmin Connect. In the Activity table, it looks all good, but the HR data actually failed to properly transfer: it is not displaying the HR graph as it is for my more recent workouts (post improvement). Is the data all lost?
