GPX Export - missing trkseg?

I frequently do a run that has a 10-12 minute rest in the middle where I ride a metro (this is my weird way to commute). A good example of such activity is https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1554885204. On my GarminFenix 3 I pause the activity and resume when I resume running. When synced to Strava it ignores the break thus ruining my averages. When exported to GPX it's missing trkseg tag to correctly reflect a break in the middle. Is that something that is a known bug or is now a good time to log it and fix it? (apologies if it's my misunderstanding of the standard).

Thanks,
Kirill
  • You'll need to make this public so we can see your activity.
  • As suggested, you need to make the activity public. However, are you saying that it's ok in Garmin Connect but not in Strava? If that is the case, then you need to contact Strava.
  • Not seeing it on Connect and on Strava I can be sure what is going on.

But Strava does not get things like distance from the source. But goes point by point from the raw data files and computes distance.

With a "normal" pause the location does not change during the pause. But with the change in position during the pause I can see Strava not recognizing it then that it is part of the activity. If thst is what is happening you should see a straight line for that segment.
