Import GPX files?

I am trying to import a GPX file into garmin connect. I have download a file from strava as a GPX route, which I want to use to create a course in Garmin Connect that I can upload into my watch. When I go import in Garmin connect I appear to have imported the file but I cannot see or find it When I try downloading again, I get the message that the file has already been imported. What am I missing or doing wrong?

You can't import into GC directly as a course. Has to be an activity then save as course. There are a few methods of doing this.
