Did some searching on this subject but couldn't really find the info I was looking for.
I wear a vivosmart HR as my activity tracker, and use a FR630 with HR-run strap for all my running activities.
During a typical running activity, my HR will usually peak at somewhere around 165-180 depending on the intensity of the session, however my high HR for any given day has never recorded any higher than 160, and generally sits about 145-150.
While I do not start an activity on my vivosmart when I run (no need since the FR630 is recording the activity), I have checked it during runs and noticed that it regularly is unable to capture my HR at any higher than about 160, so I suspect this may be having an effect on my daily high HR stat as well.
So my questions are:
1) How does garmin connect calculate "high HR" for a given day? Does it create an average of your various high points for the day as it seems to with resting HR?
2) Is there a way for garmin connect to take into account the HR readings from my FR630 when it is calculating my high HR for the day?
Any help appreciated. I would really like to be able to easily track trends in my peak HR by scrolling through the app but obviously can't do that if it is giving wrong read outs
