Imported Fitbit activities not showing up

Hello,

today I imported a .csv file with my fitbit activities for the past month. The import was successful (after i edited the .csv file deleting the 1st line) but nothing (steps, sleep, etc.) is showing up in garmin connect.

I'm pretty sure that unless you have a device that syncs with GC that tracks steps & sleep, then it won't import. :(
  • Import of Fitbit datas doesn't work!

Unfortunately, I agree! GC doesn't take Fitbit dates.

Sleep isn't supported. The Garmin Import page specifically says that it only supports "Fitbit® body or activity data."

That explains sleep. Can't help you with the rest. That seems to be a big problem that Garmin is not acknowledging.
  • Yes, I know this is a reply to a post over 6 years old... but this one hint helped me import my activity data SUCCESSFULLY after numerous attempts following Garmin's useless instructions.

So... the problem seems to be that FitBit exports data in a nonstandard CSV format, with a section header before column headers, for example a line with the word Activities before the column headers Date,Calories Burned,Steps, etc.  Just delete the line with the word Activities and the import works.  By this time I had also deleted all other data except activity data for this attempt.

Thank you, Boris, if you're still around...

  • How long before the data showed up on the dashboard?
