deleted activity on connect- want it back

Hi All,
I deleted an activity from connect as a few places had said when you re sync this will bring back the activity and then transfer to strava.
I deleted it on connect (the run still shows on my watch the 735xt) but when I sync my watch with phone it does not re upload the activity. How do I get it to sync properly?

Manual upload from Garmin Connect on the interweb.

thanks- Im guessing it cannot be done on the phone version?

I don't think you can import with the app, but I've imported through Garmin connect via web browser (Safari), saving the file to import in dropbox.
