Training Plan Questions

Hello, I am interested in scheduling Training Plan for an upcoming Half Marathon.

When I select the Half Marathon Level 2 HR versions, there are several weeks with more than 7 days in them, as shown below and in the photo attached.
Week 2 - 8 Days
Week 3 - 9 Days
Week 5 - 8 Days
Week 6 - 8 Days
Week 7 - 8 Days
Week 9 - 9 Days
Week 11 - 8 Days
Week 12 - 8 Days
Week 14 - 8 Days
Week 15 - 8 Days

There is a similar "configuration" for the Half Marathon Level 3 HR version, but with 8, 9, 10, 11

Would you help me understand how the 8 and 9 days in a week is applied, as I am struggling a bit to wrap my head around this?

If these are to be multiple workouts within the same day, I apologize for the question...

But, this poses another question for me, in that should I perform the running and other activity immediately following one another? If so, would you recommend running first or the other activity first?

Thanks,

    Thanks,

When I see more than 7 days a week, after scheduling the plan it usually shows that in fact it has more workouts in sonpme days, before scheduling it, it shows every workout of the week as a day. I say usually because lately garmin connect is facing lots of issues so everything is possible.

there is problem even to sync the plans to garmin devices https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?370664-Connect-not-transferring-plans-to-training-calendar-in-235-(it-thinks-it-is-though)
  • It's just poorly (and incorrectly) expressed.

“Days” 4 and 5 below refer to two distinct workout activities both schedule for the fourth day of the second week (represented as W02D4).

    Thanks for the explanations!

I have reached out to Garmin on this, they stated that they will escalate this to provide a clearer scheduling terminology.
  • No problem.

Good on you for taking the issue up with Garmin directly. :)

    Hi.
Did you get a response from Garmin as I'm interested in following a training program and have the same question
    Regards
    Steve
  • While they responded to me on March 6, 2017 there has been no action taken to address the issue....

Thanks for the explanation and as of Spring 2018, no change in terminology.
