Syncing last forever

I am just syncing my Forerunner 630 Garmin Connect using the Android app. The syncing have now been running in 30+ minutes and still running. According to https://connect.garmin.com/en-US/status everything is OK. Anyone else having this issue?

What has happened to Garmin? Have they outsorced the development to some incompetent company?
  • Anyone else having this issue?
Not me. I went for two separately tracked runs this afternoon with my FR630, and both times the syncing via my Android phone handset's Internet connectivity over the cellular mobile network was completed while I was walking home from where I stopped and saved each run.
  • Same here with my FR235, absolutely no way to sync my lunchtime activity (another one worked ok this morning).

Restarted my FR235, my phone, tried a manual sync from the "Connection" widget, tried a sync over USB, no dice, keep getting "Transfer Failed"! I can change the settings of CIQ apps and install/uninstall them from GCM/GE.

Got tired of this so I got the .fit file via USB and uploaded it manually. Is there a way to tell the FR235/Sync/GC/Whatever to forget about that activity and move on?
  • This happens everytime I try to send my training calendar to my watch using the Android App.
    All other syncing works fine.
  • Different issue HakanSor. Refer to sticky in Garmin Connect thread.

There were some issues with Amazon Web Services the other that might have been the cause of the problem. Strava went down and I did see some errors in an activity I had uploaded to Garmin Connect on Wednesday morning that had been sent to SportTracks.mobi. I ended up deleting and reloading the activity separately to resolve the errors.

So, while GC might not have been directly affected, there did appear to be some indirect consequences. An activity I uploaded yesterday evening went through without any problems to GC, SportTracks and Strava.
