Please help, desperate.

Hi :)

As per title, in desperate need of help. I can't get my vivofit 3 to complete the initial sync process. I get as far through Garmin Express as *Data*, and when I click yes and try to finish the process it syncs, but doesn't complete the sync, and I get "Sorry, we are having trouble setting up your vivofit because we couldn't sync it with Garmin Connect. To finish setup, please try syncing again by pressing and holding the button on your vivofit until it displays "sync" and then release the button". Well, I have done, a million times and same result. If I press "sync later" I have a step function and daily number of steps available on the vivofit, but no time, date, or any of the other things I should have, and it doesn't actually register my steps. Have uninstalled and reinstalled Garmin express twice, but always get to the same point. At my wits end, if you have any suggestions I would be very grateful. Thank you :)
  • Since that was your first post, I have a few questions.

    • Is the ant stick working properly?
    • Is the vf3 properly paired to the ant stick?
    • Have you tried it with a phone?

If you're in North America, support is usually excellent.
Call them if you don't get anywhere.

Thank you. Just been through the whole shebang with Customer support chat for an hour. He tried everything and nothing worked, plus a brand new battery put in just before the hour long chat is now *battery low* and about to run out (because it did that this morning also, again a battery on a new, unused vivofit. Safe to say that Vivofit is pretty fubar. Repair or replace..I hope they replace.
  • Chat should have been able to help. A phone call is usually better.
It really sounds like your unit is defective.
There is no way your battery should be low after this exercise.

Garmin will replace it, I'm sure.
