Connect not transferring plans to training calendar (it thinks it is though)-FIXED

Please help me.... please... I need to get some sleep!
For 3 days I've tried to download training plans to my 235, they are in my Training calendar in Connect on my PC and they appear in the Calendar on my Connect app on my android phone but they do not appear in the training calendar in my 235. I've searched forums and tried fixes but no luck. Here's what happens and what I've done;
Put Garmin training plan into Connect calendar and sent to device (arrow in top R corner). Express opens and sends 43 activities to 235 via USB.
Open training calendar in 235 and message reads 'download your training calendar from garmin connect.'
So, nothing in training calendar but each activity has been placed in My Workouts in the 235, which is no good to me, I want to know what I need to do on a given day by pressing a button on my watch Training-Calendar-Today-Do Workout (which I've done for the last few months for a previous training plan).
I've completed a marathon training plan using the calendar without a problem but I can't get it to work now.

Here's what I've tried to resolve the issue;
Sign in and out of Connect after clearing history and cache on 2 computers using IE, Chrome and Edge browsers.
Disabled adblock and security settings.
Deleted training plans and workouts from calendar and then rescheduled them anew.
Checked and unchecked the activities in Calendar (2 little lines left side of Calendar view).
Synced the 235 around 40 times, checking/changing settings etc. but still the same message 'download your training calendar from garmin connect.'
Please help...........

    Same Issue Here

Same problem for me that others are reporting.

I used to be able to send my workouts to my watch with no problem. Now I keep trying and after I send workouts and sync, I look at the training calendar on my watch and it just says "Download your training calendar from Garmin Connect."

That's a major downgrade in the functionality of the watch.

Forerunner 220 no longer syncs my training calendar.

    Any Updates on Fix?

We are not able to provide a specific time frame at this time. We are working on investigating the issue so that it can be resolved. We are seeing that the workouts are still transferred to the My Workouts section on many fitness wearables. While not as convenient this would be a way to still do the workout that was scheduled on the calendar in the mean time.

Really would like my training calendar back. The My Workouts "work-around" is not satisfactory.

Just an FYI, same issue here, but my workouts are NOT showing under "my workouts" on my watch.
  • Hi !

Is it being worked on ? When going somewhere without computer we must remember what workout we have planned on a given day and this is not satisfactory.

If a new version of Connect was deployed, you must roll back to the previous one before you deploy again.

    Thanks.

Thank you for your continued patience. Unfortunately, we don’t have an update as to when this will be resolved, but wanted to provide some steps that may allow you to continue your training.

The workouts sent to your watch should be available in the ‘My Workouts’ section of the watch, found here (steps vary by device):

    • Access the device’s Menu
    • Select Training
    • Select ‘My Workouts’

We understand that it is not as convenient, but you may try viewing the Training Calendar in Garmin Connect and match up the day of the week to the workout on the device.

We have made this thread a sticky and will provide any new information when it is available.

Wish I had found this post sooner instead of wasting the last 6 hours troubleshooting it.
Like everyone here I depend upon the Garmin training calendar and have been using it with great success on my 735 and previously 235 with no trouble.
I upload 30 workouts at a time and synchronized again yesterday evening - Garmin express reported no issues and I thought the next batch in my plan had been uploaded successfully until I tried to use it at lunchtime and it was empty.
Before going out for my evening run I thought a quick sync would sort it out - never got out to run as I thought the issue was my watch or PC.
I upgraded express to the latest version, installed it on my laptop, removed the fit files manually, soft reset my watch and then hard reset it.
Every time the scheduled folder was empty. If I kept my watch disconnected and sent the calendar to my watch then express would show the training plan entries until I connected my watch and then it would sync far too quickly and not generate any fit files within the correct watch folder.
I am using this feature to assist in training for my first marathon and I am not happy. Something either in Garmin connect or express has been changed within the last 20 to 25 days as that was the last time I synced the training plan.
Please advise time frame to resolve this issue.
  • Same problem with Forerunner 235

Please resolve this siginifcant issue swiftly. Thank you.
  • Unfortunately, we don’t have an update as to when this will be resolved
Seven days and not found a solution for this bug sounds like you have incompetent developers.
How many minutes can it take to roll-back the system change that caused this issue?
  • this suggestion does not work (FR620)

    Dear administrator,
at least on my FR620 this workaround does not work.
I cannot upload any workout, not even in the "my workouts" section.

Come on, you can do better than this!

I'm always amazed by how rude some people become when little things go wrong in modern life. Rolling back to previous versions is not necessarily going to work. It's quite possible that could break other things. Or perhaps the key programmer is on holiday, or maybe (shock horror) they have other more important deadlines to meet before tackling this one.

The workouts are on our phones (at least for most of us), so it's a mild inconvenience at worst. I'm mid training programme, a month away from a marathon too, but it won't stop me training. This is just part of leading a hi-tech life. Occasionally stuff breaks.

GFM1011 - Thank you for the update. Looking forward to a resolution.
