Connect not transferring plans to training calendar (it thinks it is though)-FIXED

Please help me.... please... I need to get some sleep!
For 3 days I've tried to download training plans to my 235, they are in my Training calendar in Connect on my PC and they appear in the Calendar on my Connect app on my android phone but they do not appear in the training calendar in my 235. I've searched forums and tried fixes but no luck. Here's what happens and what I've done;
Put Garmin training plan into Connect calendar and sent to device (arrow in top R corner). Express opens and sends 43 activities to 235 via USB.
Open training calendar in 235 and message reads 'download your training calendar from garmin connect.'
So, nothing in training calendar but each activity has been placed in My Workouts in the 235, which is no good to me, I want to know what I need to do on a given day by pressing a button on my watch Training-Calendar-Today-Do Workout (which I've done for the last few months for a previous training plan).
I've completed a marathon training plan using the calendar without a problem but I can't get it to work now.

Here's what I've tried to resolve the issue;
Sign in and out of Connect after clearing history and cache on 2 computers using IE, Chrome and Edge browsers.
Disabled adblock and security settings.
Deleted training plans and workouts from calendar and then rescheduled them anew.
Checked and unchecked the activities in Calendar (2 little lines left side of Calendar view).
Synced the 235 around 40 times, checking/changing settings etc. but still the same message 'download your training calendar from garmin connect.'
Please help...........

    Bummer. I was just trying to setup this feature for the first time but I am also having problems. I've had this thing (FR235) for a year now and can't believe how many bugs this has had over the last 12 months.

    i got the same problem on the fenix 3 hr. the trainingsplan was on the watch as expected. i wanted to move todays training to tomorrow and synced again. now the complete trainings calendar on my fenix is gone

    I sent an email to Garmin support. I've spent a sleepless weekend over this issue. Sent an email to Garmin, no reply yet. Now I know I'm not alone with this issue. Below is the content of email:

    Tried to Copy to Device all of the scheduled workouts from the Calendar view.
    Garmin express popped up, syncing started, completed successfully.
    I checked the watch and found that all workouts, including previously scheduled ones have disappeared from the watch.
    I reset the watch to defaults, re-uploaded the workouts - same result.
    Updated Garmin Express to 5.2.0.0, re-tried to upload workouts - same result.
    Opened a Windows Explorer, noticed that all workouts are created in GARMIN/WORKOUT folder and not in GARMIN/WORKOUT/SCHEDULE as I would expect.
    Also, my pre-designed workouts aren't getting transferred to the device.
    Garmin Forerunner 230, SF version 7.10/ Please help :(

    Any solution now??

    I spent all weekend trying to transfer my training plan to my Fenix 3 HR.
    PleaseGarmin Support, do something!!
    As I see, the problem has a couple days.

    (workout are send to the watch but they are stored in "Newfiles" Folder and are not reachable from the watch menu...)

    i tried to reinitialize and reinstall firmware but nothing change.

    Still not solved!!!!
    I wan't to spend my sparetime training.... And not on the computer trying to "fix" my expensive gadgets.
    Come on Garmin boys and girls, try harder..

    Same issue on Fenix 3 HR

    Same issue on fenix 3 HR, garmin connect is facing a lot of issues lately. it is driving me nuts, I can't edit my schedule when I want, I can't send my schedule to my training plans... :mad:

    Usually the scheduled training are saved in the schedule folder contained in the workouts folder of the device memory (accessing from windows explorer once the device is connected via usb to the pc).

    Since there is this problem, I noticed that the schedule folder is created in the garmin folder, same level of the workouts folder. Even moving manually the folder in the supposed location, does not help. The device, when trying to access the workouts calendar, says to download the workouts from garmin connect.
