Garmin Connect: "Profile Device" is Incorrect, "Devices Device" is Correct.

Hi Folks -

I started with a "loaner" (from a friend) Edge 200 to check out Garmin bike GPSs, liked it a lot, and subsequently upgraded to a Edge 520 of my own.

In my Connect Dashboard "Profile" the Device shown with an icon is still the Edge 200. In my Connect "Devices Page" is only the 520, with correct S/N and Synch info.

I have deleted all of the activities created with the 200, but it still shows up as the only device in my Dashboard "Profile/Settings". Edit Profile does not provide a way to change the Device.

Any suggestions as to how to get the Profile Device to be the correct Edge 520?

Thanks for the link to MyGarmin/MyProducts. However, the unit shown there is the correct Edge 520. The loaner 200 was never added to my account because it was owned by a friend.

Still experiencing the original issue. :-(

Have you looked under'Devices' in the menu

Hi Philip - Thanks much for the reply.

If you mean the Devices Menu accessed via the GarminConnect Dashboard (connect.garmin.com/.../nnnnnnnnn") then yes, and it is correct and there is only the 520 shown. That's what I meant by the "Connect Devices Page" in the original post. There is no E200 anywhere in my Connect pages except in my Profile (https://connect.garmin.com/modern/profile/nnnnnnn) and there it shows only the E200 icon. See the attachment.

Some additional background ... since I only had a loaner E200, I did not set up a Connect account while testing it, but I did use the old Garmin Training Center program to log & map the E200 rides. Subsequently, after buying the E520 and initializing a Connect account and synching the E520 to it, I used TC to export all of the old E200 rides into .tcx files which I then Imported into Connect, so that everything would be in 1 place.

This seems to be where my Profile Device got switched from the E520 to the E200. And there is no Edit function to change it back.

Any other ideas?

Just to let you all know ...

I finally resolved this by exporting one of my existing E520 activities to a tcx file and then importing it back into GC. That switched the Device in the GC Profile page (https://connect.garmin.com/modern/profile/nnnnn) from the Edge 200 back to the Edge 520.

The question remains though, if one has multiple Devices each generating Activities, will only the most recent one generated impact the Device in the Profile page?

I am assuming that Dashboard/Devices page (https://connect.garmin.com/modern/device/nnnnnn) would have an entry for each (and every?) device registered to the user. Since I only have one device, I can't verify that myself.

Would anyone using multiple Garmin devices comment on how they appear in both the GC Dashboard/Devices page(s) and the Profile page?
