How to combine fitness app data with Vivosmart HR heartrate data

Hello

I bought a comfy and nice Vivosmart HR watch :D to get insight on my heartrate during activities, I started with the Garmin apps and following tried all kinds of fitness apps but I cannot seem to find a way (both directions) to get my vivismart HR heartrate data and other activity data (elevation, acceleration, course etc) from an app or other device in one log(Garmin HR to fitness app or app log to Garmin for example).

What is the way to go here, i bought this over €100 watch for this reason in particular.
  • Sigh. Why do so many people just assume devices (with assorted capabilities) and platforms developed and marketed by different companies will automatically be interoperable? I can understand why people want it, but that certainly does not mean they can have it just like that.

Your ">‑HR can broadcast wrist-based HR readings to other devices in real-time over ANT+">vívosmart‑HR can broadcast wrist-based HR readings to other devices in real-time over ANT+, and that's about the extent of it. You can run an app along the lines of Wahoo Fitness on an Android mobile device that is compatible with ANT+ (but not all Android devices do), and it will use the Android device's GPS for position and speed/pace calculations; however, it will (most likely) not automatically sync activity records to the Garmin Connect platform.

It seems to me, then, that you failed to perform proper due diligence, figure out how the different pieces will work together in the ecosystem, and validate your assumptions and confirm the set-up's feasibility, before making purchase decisions. It would probably have been much cheaper to buy a (chest strap, armband, or wrist-worn) heart rate monitor that can transmit HR data using Bluetooth Low Energy Mode, and there are more mobile devices that support BLE.

Try to google the darn thing ... think I had to install Strava on my samsung, then hook that into the garmin connect...and then strava to google fit? ...way to complicated just to get data from the chronos watch into the google fit app ... but it worked ... at last!!!!

    Best regards B.
