Start time issue in Finland related to daylight saving time

After October 30th 2016 all my recordings in Finland have two different start time values. On the page that lists all activities, start time is listed correctly as it was. However, when opening the individual page of each activity, one hour is added to the correct start time. In Garmin Connect my time zone setting is GMT+2 Eastern European Time, which is correct (there is no separate zone for Helsinki). This issue seems to be only related to activities in Finland, at the same time period I have recorded activities also in Germany and Thailand - without such an issue.

Does anyone know the reason for this? Can I fix this problem with myself, or is this bug in Garmin Connect?
  • Is the time zone (which should have been automatically set by your watch, using GPS data) for those activities in question correctly set?

You can check by hovering over (or clicking on) the start time when reviewing the activity record in Garmin Connect online, or have it explicitly shown when you go to edit the summary data for the activity manually (by clicking on the pencil icon to the far right).

Come to think of it, even though in my example above the time zone is shown as GMT+10 – which is Australian Eastern Standard Time – the start time of 09:18 (which was the correct local time) was already/automatically adjusted for daylight saving, so in fact it was 09:18 @ GMT+11. I wonder if the non user-accessible config files on your watch has the correct dates for daylight savings starting and ending where you are?
