'This file has already been uploaded.'

Am trying to upload a file to create a new course.

Every time I do this I get 'This file has already been uploaded.'

I have tried:
Editing the file's timestamp (several times).
Opening and re-saving in Basecamp as both TCX and GPX.
Deleting all my pre-existing activities in Connect and trying again.

Am still getting 'This file has already been uploaded.'

Have run out of ideas...

Thank you - method 3 worked perfectly.

Though it is a rather tortuous process... am confused why Garmin haven't created a simple method of doing this as it seems like one of the main things you'd want to do with courses. I
But thank you for providing a workaround.
