Hi SInce yesterday Search engine stopped to work in finding activities by keyword.
the behaviour is not related to browser or O.S.
Any feedback?

    Search not working as well

    Same problem in Garmin Connect since several weeks, whatever is the key-word, the search engine is not showing any result.

    I've had this problem running any search in Activities for as long as I can remember. Is this because the data file is too large? (goes to early 2005). Is my data corrupt somehow? Wondering if there's any way to fix?

  • Doubt it. I have mine since early January and have the same issue with search.
  • I don't recall it ever working, at least not in the way we'd like it to work. I can filter activities, but cannot get a result from search for something like Bridgewater, despite it being there on that page!

    I've never been bothered enough to do anything about it as I don't really use GC for much.

    I do recall it working years ago but it hasn't for a very, very long time. This is ridiculous. The most basic software operation ever. It speaks volumes to how stupid Garmin is wrt software. We've invested $100s of dollars on these fitness devices so that we can analyze the data, but Garmin spends no effort on that support. I'll be looking for other hardware when I need to replace my gadget next time.
  • A slight exaggeration perhaps. I'm sure Garmin do spend thousand of dollars on their software, but not always on the functions that we'd like to see working. There's definitely a sense of 'one step forward, a bit over one step back' with their software, but in the main it works. And I am not convinced that other manufacturers are any better with their offerings that support their devices. If you want more than GC offers, then you have to be prepared to pay out to a 3rd party.

    I am prepared to pay just over $1 a week to SportTracks.mobi to get all the functionality I want. Whether Garmin should provide all that additional functionality is a moot point. However, it would be good if what they had worked properly all of the time, instead of most of the time.

    Well, we're only talking simple search functionality here. Which is something GC apparently "offer" by having the text box sitting there at the top of the page. Nothing very advanced. Very strange that Garmin doesn't handle that.
  • You're absolutely correct. We'd expect a basic search function to work.

    I was alluding more to paying for additional features than the search function per se of course.
  • keyword search does not work on Activities

    From several weeks ago the keyword search on https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activities does not retrieve any data.

    Rest of 7 fields to filter do work on the search.

    Any more people with this problem?
