2nd User Device not recognized in Garmin Connect

Garmin Express shows two individual user devices, one for each of two persons. Data from both devices shows on Garmin Connect when either device is chosen from Garmin Express. Since February 2 only one device will sync. The other device will go through the sync process but then delivers an error message, "This device is not your preferred activity tracker." Any suggestions for restoring the ability to sync the 2nd device will be greatly appreciated.

  • Further to what TrippyZ says, each device should be linked to separate accounts. It sounds like somehow both devices are now linked to one account.

    After much time spent with Garmin chat agents no resolution. Each Vivofit2 device is registered to a different email address. Both are shown in Garmin Express. No reason known for failure to sync with error message, "...not set as preferred activity tracker." There is no option to either set or delete a setting of preferred activity tracker. Neither device is identified as preferred activity tracker. Next step is a conversation with Garmin software section.
  • Although there are 2 different email addresses, is it possible that you are using the same user name for the 2 accounts? I usually log in with my user name - not my email address.
