Being thrown out of step challenges again

Every few weeks I am thrown out of step challenges. I get to about the 75k challenge, place at the top of it and the following week I am no longer in a challenge. It has happened numerous times, I opened a case with Garmin, they said it was being escalated to be investigated and that was back in December and I've heard nothing back. Anyone else seeing this issue?
  • Same here, won my group, now it's booted me it seems. Some times it takes a little time for it to update and be right...but usually by Tuesday things are updated.

    Been having the same issue for about two months now. Keep getting kicked out of the step challenge every few weeks. When I re-join i'm added to the "0 step challenge" and never get upgraded to a new level.

    So how do we get it fixed? Is anyone from Garmin able to confirm that this is a known issue or give any idea of how long we have to deal with this? It makes rising through the step challenges impossible and also makes the device pretty pointless if you want to use it for challenges.
  • We are aware of users who were removed from their challenges this week and are investigating the cause/solution. Users will need to add themselves into weekly challenges manually. We apologize for any inconvenience and will update this thread when more information is available.

    See this post is 3 year old. It happened to me and my wife today. Instead of joining nezt challenge we were demoted again to 0 step challenge. 

    My wife is particularly upset as she was working hard to get to the top of the list. 

    Garmin- have you fixed this issue after 3 years of people complaining about it? If so what’s the solution for that as I cannot see any updates from you in that thread...

    As you can see yourself, three years long nobody complained about it, so I'd rather tell that you being the first case after 3 years prooves it worked quite well Slight smile

    I am not sure whether I can help you, since the only ideas coming to my nind is to check the level of privacy at the option Activity (including also steps) in Privacy Settings, and trying to make it visible to Connections and Groups. Normally, I'd tell it is necessary only for group challenges, and should not be needed for the automated weekly steps challenges, but perhaps it is worth of trying, anyway.

    The other thing to check is your daily step goal - if it is excessively low, you may consider setting it higher. Again, I do not think it should have any impact on the promotion in the step challenges, but you never really know until you try.

    Other than that, I can only recommend contacting the Support directly, because Garmin intervenes on the user forum only extremely exceptionally. 

    Anyway, it is defintely not some common problem - for example myself I am on the weekly challenges since one year, and was never kicked out (yet).

    This happened to me in the GCC group challenges. I am showing I am part of the group but all my activities are at zero
