Forerunner235 Training / Workout named "untitled" when sync'ed to Connect

Hi,

I have a Forerunner 235. I have setup a simple workout through the Garmin Connect website, titled "Treadmill20M". I use Garmin Connect on my iPhone to transfer the workout to the watch. The workout appears on the watch, correctly under Training Plan. I do the workout on the watch, save it, and sync it via the iPhone. However, the title of the activity on Garmin Connect is called "untitled" rather than the workout name. I got the watch as a Christmas present, and until ~12th January I am pretty sure the activity name would always represent the workout name; for some reason after the 15th this stopped happening. I know the watch received a firmware update around this time, so I am wondering if this had something to do with it.

Has anyone else experienced this? or know how to resolve it?.... and how do I lodge an official ticket with Garmin?

I've been using my FR235 for nearly twelve whole months now, and I've never seen an uploaded activity automatically named after a custom workout.

You can change that under settings and display preferences on Garmin Connect website, but the activities are never saved with the workout name.

"New activities can be untitled, or named automatically with location and type (if available). Names based on location may not be accurate for all areas."

Hi, I have the same problem with my Forerunner 235, no more Titled Activities :(

I am using ti for one month, before I used 310xt, and never had this issue, is it possible because I use only Bluetooth connection and Cell phone, or it is something else?

It is a little annoying :(

And just to Add, it is already set for me in Browser "named automaticly location" ... and doesn't work.
I am not sure didn't it work from begining and I edit the Activity, or it doesn't work for last 2 weeks

Which type of activities are they? Are they GPS-tracked runs (or bike rides) tracked using the Run activity profile on your FR235?

Activities will only be named if you set the applicable option and they include GPS data. If it is a treadmill run, or an indoor activity, then they will always show as untitled. Using a workout as a basis of the activity will not change the activity name upon upload to GC.

Actually, activities I captured using the Run Indoor profile on my FR235 all get named "Treadmill Running" automatically.

In my case Activities are just normal, outside with GPS.

As I mentioned, I was using 310XT for almost 2 years, and never had a problem. I don't know comes the problem because of uploading over Phone App ?

I doubt it. Mine were all automatically uploaded via Garmin Connect Mobile on my Android handset while I walked home from the park:

and, as you can see, they were all named (automatically) using the template of “‹locality› Running”.

Than the only possible optioni what is left for me is that the Version of update on my Garmin 235 makes this problems. Althought I have the last updated Version of System.
