How do I turn off elevation correction?

I have a FR235.

When I do a hilly ride / run, the elevation graph on the app (iphone) is spot on... Upload it to the website (and view the graph on my computer) and a hilly route looks like a pancake!

Its driving me mad - please help!

All the best

  • This is because the mobile app shows only a fragment of the vertical axis on the elevation graph, thus disproportionately exagerating differences in elevation, whereas the connect web service shows the graph with the vertical axis starting at 0 and there is no apparent way to change this. So unless you do some serious mountaineering the climbs and descents might be hard to notice (but they are there, trust me).

Disabling elevation correction will not help you. First, it's broken so even if you disable it the graph still shows corrected data, and second, corrected elevation is fine anyway, since the FR235 lacks barometric altimeter, making uncorrected elevation highly innacurate. The issue is with the difference in the way both apps display the elevation graph.
