Choosing Sunday as First Day of Week Isn't Actually Changing Anything?

I prefer to have my weekly workout goal to begin on Sunday. Even though Garmin Connect is set on Sunday as the first day, the calendar week as far as my work out goal still shows Sunday as the last day of the week and not the first. My goal of 150 minutes per week still starts on a Monday Is there a way to actually have the week to begin on Sunday?
  • I believe you're talking about a user setting that is clearly indicated as a display preference in Garmin Connect, which does exactly as ‘advertised’ in Garmin Connect Mobile (even though no equivalent explanation or ‘tooltip’ for it is given in Garmin Connect online):

    First Day of the Week
Set your calendar's monthly view to start on the day of the week specified (Saturday, Sunday or Monday).

Choosing Sunday as the first day of the week causes this change:

I prefer to have my weekly workout goal to begin on Sunday. Even though Garmin Connect is set on Sunday as the first day, the calendar week as far as my work out goal still shows Sunday as the last day of the week and not the first.
That depends on the workout goal. I had no problem creating a workout goal of running 25km in a week starting on a Sunday:

and changing the first day of the week back to Monday afterwards did not mess with the workout goal:

but only which day of the week comes first in the column headings (including in the date chooser pop-up).

I can also confirm that changing the setting for the first day of the week changes the Weekly Totals (if selected) in the Month view of the Calendar in Garmin Connect online.

My goal of 150 minutes per week still starts on a Monday
Tracking of intensity minutes (which isn't a workout goal per se, given you can rack up intensity minutes just by walking around the house or the office in the course of everyday life) is not subject to the display preference.

Is there a way to actually have the week to begin on Sunday?
    Not for that. See https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?366120-Begining-of-Week-Setting&p=927494#post927494
  • I've inherited a vivosmart 4 from my wife, so I decided to test drive it before buying a vivoactive 4s.  But, it drives me absolutely insane that I cannot change the connect.garmin.com website graphics, as well as the intensity minutes in the app, to reflect a Sunday through Saturday weekly schedule.  I'm a retired software developer who actually gave a damn about configuration, so this inflexibility is just completely stupid.  How hard could it be to include all of the week-related features into the first-day-of-the-week configuration option?  I will not be buying a vivoactive 4s until this is fixed.
