It's far more prudent and arguably smarter, at least from a consumer law perspective, for companies not to make promises it don't need to make, irrespective of whether it intends to deliver the capability…
Arrogance like this causes companies to die. hope this person is not related to garmin.

Why should he? You are on a user community forum, here. People here spend their time to help others with their experience, but do not speak for Garmin. If you want to speak to Garmin, you'll need to contact them directly - either through their support email or on their call centers.
Hi all.
Any idea how to sync to Google Fit ?
I was able with my Polar...
Regards
There are apps that can do it. I felt that this one was a good one (many users, good score, mostly positive reviews), but there is 8 days trial and then you can buy a lifetime pass for about $4 or $1 every 6 months.
Thanks.
Very frustrating that needs another app and also need to pay after already paid a huge price for the device.
My choice would be another brand if I was aware of !
Garmin is not developing services that syncs data to other services. It is up to the other services or 3rd party developers to develop that.
Garmin Connect handles your steps. Why use Google Fit?
You might find an app or service that is free that can sync to Garmin Fit, but development and support costs money and not many are willing to do it for free.
Hello.
Need to sync because all other app sync to Fit (like my previous Polar), and love to see on Fit my "life day".
Fit is the collector for all systems... When you change of Brand, you still get your datas on Fit.
You say "Garmin is not developing services that syncs data to other services" --> This is the issue. Other do it !

Unlike some other competitors, Garmin spends a lot of resources on developing their own system (Garmin Connect), so it does not need to rely on applications of competitors like the Google Fit. However, Garmin still offers an API for the interconnection with other services. If you really prefer using Google Fit, all you need to do is linking your GC account with a free account at Strava, or any of the countless services that are compatible with both sides (see a long list of such services for example at https://www.androidauthority.com/google-fit-393110/#:~:text=More%20posts%20about%20Google%20Fit%2Dcompatible%20devices&text=Other%20Google%20Fit%2Dcompatible%20devices,also%20compatible%20with%20Google%20Fit.), also linking that service with Fit, and the activities made with your Garmin device will be synced through the 3rd party service to Google Fit too.
Thanks for the link... I will look at !
Anyway, I still continue to think that a company like Garmin should be compatible with the most used service at no fee (Garmin is so expensive). And the ressource needed to achieve this compatibility is not so much for them.
It's a pain to have to use extra services for such a company.

As I wrote, you can sync them at no fee over Strava, Runtastic, Endomondo, and countless of other services. And if you find Garmin is expensive for what it offers, you could have chosen a less expensive brand, offering more features you need.
Ask Google why their Google Watch does not sync with Garmin Connect - one of the most popular fitness applications
