Cycling in Vietnam and Cambodia

Hi

I have a Garmin Edge 1000 and will be cycling in Vietnam and Cambodia in Feb. Do i need to buy the relevant maps to track and record my route or does it all magically happen with GPS ?

Have you read the manual? One of your questions appears to be 'Will I be able to record my route'. The answer is yes.

The device uses GPS to identify its location and records it in an Activity when instructed to do so.
