EXACT start address/location when creating a course?

Greetings all!

When creating or modifying a course on Garmin Connect rgdn cycling-

My question is why is it that when I point in an exact, physical address such my house address in the "location screen, pin option area" as a starting point id does NOT take me to that exact address or location? But rather, only the vague vicinity?

Thanks!

I am not sure if this is your problem, but if you have Stay On Roads selected when you start routing it will move the starting point to the nearest routable road. What you might want to do is to turn this off. Start at your exact location. Then make the next point on the road and then turn Stay On Roads back on.
  • I'd guess that it is because address information for individual locations or even street names is not in their database. Take a moment to consider how much information would need to be stored for anyone, anywhere to be able to input their specific address and get a result.

If you feel so strongly about it, contact Garmin support.
