Garmin won't sync

Hi
I havent used my Garmin Forerunner 310XT for about 10 months, and now I can't get it to sync in Connect on my laptp even though it is connected by usb.
Any suggestions gratefully received

What software are you using on your laptop? What OS n your laptop? What are you trying to connect to?

I'm asking this because you said you hadn't used your 310xt for 10 months. Is your version of Express up-to-date?
