Vivosmart HR and Edge 1000

Hi,

I went for a ride yesterday and used my VSHR to link to my Edge 1000 for heart rate. I then recorded the ride on my Edge 1000. It automatically was recorded by the VSHR also. The Garmin Connect is only picking up this activity from the VSHR data and the Edge 1000 recorded data is not on there. I want connect to be an all encompassing tool that shows generally all the VSHR data except on a ride where it shows the Edge 1000 data for that part of the day....can somebody help please.

BTW I have pushed upload of the ride from the Edge device...
  • So, in short, you recorded a ride on your Edge but you can't find it in Garmin Connect? Have you synced with Garmin Express?
  • I uploaded all activities from the device over wifi....this has always previously put them on connect. How do I Sync with express?

    Hi,

    Don't we all ;-)

I'm interested to see if you get any useful responses but as far as I can work out they don't really work very well together.

I do it slightly differently but with the same end problem. I ride with an Edge and a separate HR device (I don't find the VSHR accurate enough for high-intensity activities) and then I upload directly from Edge to Garmin Connect.

Connect shows it as an Activity and within the activity it shows the HR and other data. It also includes the activity data in overall Calories and Total Activity time.

But when I look at my HR across the day Connect will show HR for the whole day EXCEPT for the time I was on the bike. Bizarrely it even shows the Activity on the HR timeline, but with no HR data plotted against it. So it's effectively missing large chunks which makes any averages, maximums or other data worthless.
