How to set distance in KM, but everything else Imperial? Also autoscale altitude?

So, I'm a little new to Garmin and I'm working to get myself familiar with the system. Is there a way I can get Garmin Connect (online) to display all my distance stuff (distance, pace, average pace, etc) in km, but keep everything else in Imperial (altitude in ft, temp in F, weight in lbs, etc). Maybe this seems weird for some, but I live in the US so I'm used to Imperial units, however all the races are in km (5k, 10k, etc) (although the waypoint markers are in miles, still trying to figure that one out) so I like to train and track in the units I'm going to be racing, i.e. km.

Also, is there anyway to get Garmin Connect to auto scale the altitude of activities. For instance, my activity yesterday had an altitude range of 731 - 815, yet the graph is 500-1000. With the actual range being about 20% of the scale, it is hard to see any detail. 700-900 (or 700-850) would be much better.

EDIT: I've been able to do exactly this on my watch (Forerunner 630), but still can't figure out how to specify different units individually on the website.
