FR 225 software update not loading

My phone ap keeps telling me that there's a software update available for my forerunner 225 and to use garmin express on my computer to install the update.
i go to garmin connect and i see the file: Time Zone Map, Version 19.00
my watch is connected to the computer. I click send now. Express opens and shows syncing progress. then says "You're up to date" ... " Software Version: 2.90"
However connect still shows the update file is there to be sent.
i've been through the process probably 10 times over the last couple of weeks.
how do i get this to install?

I have the same problem for a long time already. Sometimes it will just suddenly work but most of the time it wouldn't sync!

Best to have a Garmin support staff to put up a FAQ to guide us through this.
