How do I get my 2016 cycling stats out of Garmin Connect

This used to be easy with the old UI. When the modern UI came along I couldn't figure it out so I used the option of switching to the old UI. But it seems that option is no longer available.

There must be a way to do this since it is one of the most common use cases. Really the only reason I own a Garmin device is to be able to publish stats like this so I can encourage others to try riding a bike once in a while.

Thanks,
Glen

    Stupid Firefox!

Thanks for your all your help. I hope you can report this to Garmin as Firefox is my favorite browser. I'll check it out on Chrome.
  • Not done yet. If you're an avid Firefox guy, you can install an extension called IE Tab 2. This allows you to use IE to display web pages in a tab within FireFox. I used to use this back in the day when there were a lot of items on Garmin Connect that simply would not work in Firefox.

That you'd need to use a browser other than Firefox on certain platforms is not news. See

  • I know. I remember now. It goes back even further than that. It's been years since I've used IE tab in Firefox, but that pretty much fixes the firefox issue. See me post above.
  • 8 years actually, checking my posting history.
  • I just want to see my total miles for each activity.

Another way to do this is to create a goal widget and pick the activity you want the total for. Of course, you'll only get totals. There is no detail behind that. What I do every year is set up an annual goal starting Jan 1 and then follow my ytd progress as I do my activity.

    Progress Summary

Thanks to all who responded with help. A special thanks to SEILOGRAMP who hung in there with me last night. :D

I did find and install the IE Tab V2. Garmin likes to tell me the browser isn't supported, but it works. I have Windows 10 so there isn't really any upgrading I can do to IE or so it says.

I do use goals, but wanted to see things a bit differently. I don't know why I didn't think to try IE. I do realize that not everything displays correctly on every browser. Thanks for the reminder! :o

I also discovered in this process that if I go to calendar, set it for the time span I want, I can see my totals for each activity at the bottom of the page.

I did install Chrome to see what it looked like. I can't get it to import my bookmarks from Firefox, and I have years worth of bookmarks I'm not willing to lose. Guess I will need to stick with Firefox for now.

    Thanks again!
