Connect mobile app troubles

I have a Garmin 235 and a Galaxy S7 smartphone. I am trying to sync up my phone to my garmin. I am able to set my 235 to "Pair Mobile Devices". When I pull up the mobile app, I get to the first screen just fine. However, once I click on "Sign In" or "Create Account", both buttons take me to a screen with "Connect", a back arrow on top, and nothing else. It won't function beyond that. How do I fix this?
