I recently purchased the forerunner 35 and have decided to aim to run a half marathon this year and thought I'd try to use a garmin plan to do it.
When I select training plans and then half marathon, it has 3 levels and optional heart rate based training. As I currently run 3-5 times a week (approx 4-7 kms at a time) I'm thinking the Level 2 maybe the best option. Can anyone advise whether a heart rate based plan is any benefit over the normal plan?
Against some of the activities it states things like "20 mins of body conditioning" - do the plans go into describing what this actually means?
