Hi All!
I have a Vivoactive HR & enjoy using & exploring Garmin Connect, but there are a couple of things I can't figure out despite lots of searching & experimenting. If you all don't mind, I'd like to ask here...
Storing Heart Rate Recovery To Read Later:
If I pause certain (but not all) workouts and wait 2 minutes I'll get a Heart Rate Recovery Screen that shows the heart rate at the beginning of the 'time out' period & how much it dropped in the 2 minute dwell period. But, the screen disappears rather quickly.
I read in an older post on this forum that the Recovery data is stored & can be read in a FIT file, but is not shown in Garmin Connect or the mobile version. So, my question that I can't figure out is how to read a FIT file to find the Recovery data? I'd like to keep track of it just for fun.
I sure could not figure this one out. For fun, I tried opening the FIT file with all the applications I could think of on my Mac computer without success. Is there a FIT File Reading program that I somehow missed finding?
Backing Up Garmin Connect Data:
Is there a way to backup all the workout data in my Garmin Connect? I figured out how to export a page or activity at a time, but was wondering of there was something that would backup the whole account's data in case things go wonky in the future.
These two questions are certainly not critical & don't detract from enjoying the use of this tracker. It's pretty spiffy and I do like Garmin Connect quite a bit.
Thanks For Your Advice!
Paul
