It looks we are 3y later still in the same situation?? I use a Fenix6pro (for hiking, running, indoor) and an Edge820 for cycling - and the Training Status is not reflecting the training efforts I do with…
I am in the same situation with the new Edge 830 (love it) and the Venu. Garmin seems way behind.

One of the reasons I asked for a Vivosmart rather than Fitbit was that I thought as an existing Edge user it would be more useful and compatible in terms of combining information in a single place.Garmin Connect can consolidate information captured by multiple Garmin devices (registered against your account) in a straightforward manner, but will treat information from separate devices as being independent of each other. You cannot use two or more registered Garmin devices to capture different aspects (with or without overlap) of a single event or thing, to enrich the digital record of such beyond the capability of a single device.

It looks we are 3y later still in the same situation?? I use a Fenix6pro (for hiking, running, indoor) and an Edge820 for cycling - and the Training Status is not reflecting the training efforts I do with my bike properly (although I wear HR, have Powermeter, etc - so way enough data and certainly even more/more precise than the Fenix for my other sports)... any progress on this in view?

Garmin, please provide feedback about these abilities and if they help resolve this scenario of runners and cyclers using dedicated devices.
