So six years later, this is my question as well.
I have a completed activity that I would like to copy to another day -- including the map route, etc.
It doesn't seem like that is possible.
Why copy an activity? Just create a route from the original activity and navigate that when you do your next activity. If you copy an activity you will get incorrect data such as heart rate, speed etc. that was from the original activity.
If you really want to create a copy you can export the FIT file and then upload it again and then change the date. Note that you need to change the ID in the FIT file to be able to upload it again. Easier can be to export as TCX or GPX and upload again.
Thanks for the reply!!
I turned off my watch before saving a run and it was gone. I found a past run on my calendar with the same route and the approximate same elapsed time, so I'd like to use that has better than nothing.
Could you please speak more about the strategy you are proposing to accomplish that? I didn't really understand.
See if exporting as TCX and importing that file again and changing the date works for you.
GENIUS!! Thanks!
For anyone who searches and stumbles across this thread in the future... Export the existing file as TCX. Then open the file with Notepad. Do a search/replace for the original activity date, replacing the date with the new date you want. Save. Upload.
