Problems after reset

I recently had to do a factory reset on my Garmin 500, but im having issues with it, when i upload a ride to Connect the wrong day and time is showing and the auto power off is not doing as it should, anyone offer any help please?

    Since the reset has your device been switched on and given a clear view of the sky so it can re-acquire the satellite information?

    No i just switched the unit on while inside, its currently sitting outside in an open space.

    That'll be the issue then as it gets its date/time from the satellites.

    Went out this morning started at 9.45AM but when i uploaded the ride to Garmin Connect its showing i started at 11PM on the 20th dec i have GMT western European time selected in the Garmin Connect settings, whats going on here?
