Recovery Heart Rate

Hi there,

I'm a new Vivoctive HR user. After completing an activity I see a widget displayed for Recovery Heart Rate after 2 minutes. The Vivoactive manual tells me it is the difference between the (average?) activity heart rate and my heart rate after 2 minutes of cool down. The display shows 2 values though, and neither match my heart rate after 2 minutes. I'm typically seeing something like 110 bpm [40 bpm]. When I watch my heart rate value using an app I got on Connect IQ it shows around 80 bpm after two minutes. Would appreciate any insight as I'm confused ... thanks

110 bpm -- your heart rate when the message pops up (now)
40 bpm -- heart rate difference between now and the timer stopped.

Thanks, I appreciate the response. If that's what it is, it doesn't really make sense when I look at the heart rates measured over and after the activity period. I'll just try to be consistent and see what I can learn. I see some users feel like a chest strap is needed if you really want to get down to technical training ... maybe the wrist measurements are a little less reliable?
