Everyone,
As of 9/25/2014, we have implemented new features to the registration process that will ensure you choose your own Display Name. This "Display Name" field will be the public name displayed on the Forums and Garmin Connect.
Here are a couple pieces of information to know about this change:
When creating a new account, the Display Name field will be required
If you have created a Garmin account where the Display Name is not required (i.e. myGarmin), then you will be prompted to create a Display Name when you come to the Forums and sign in the first time
We are also in the process of updating existing users whose email address is displayed. With some existing accounts, you may not receive the popup to update your display name. If you encounter this, please don't hesitate to Private Message (PM) Garmin-Blake, Shawn-Garmin, or Garmin-Joey and please provide the alternate display name that you would like to use.
