Default Activity tracker is not working

Hi

Something is altered in Garmin Connect recently.

I'm using Vivoactive as my default activity tracker and this is setup properly in GC. But when I turn on my forerunner 735 the steps from it is synced to GC. And still only the Vivo is set up as tracker in GC.

This has not always been so, so it must be a bug.

Using the IOS version of Connect.

My wife has the same problem even though she uses a Vivofit as step counter.
  • What has changed is the True-Up feature that was implemented about a week or so ago which allows multiple trackers in a day. It will sync and accumulate in Connect. Most of the newer devices will show the accumulated steps from the multiple devices. The older devices accumulate but don't have a way to be updated so they only show their own steps.

There is a relatively long thread on this in the forum. Post#29 in that thread is particularly useful.

    Thanks for the info.

In my wife's case Connect is ignoring the steps collected by her Vivofit. No matter if its higher or lower than the steps counted on the 735.
The steps shown in Connect is exactly what the 735 is showing.
This is a bug and it should be possible to turn this True-Up function off.

I also very much would prefer to know that my activity steps is coming from exactly the tracker I chose in Preferred Activity Tracker.
Please give me my freedom to choose back.
