validating a 24k to[o sd card

Don't know if this is the right place to post this question. I just sold my Montana 600 and 3ea 24k topo sd cards all to separate people. The buyer of one of the cards claims the sd card will not load onto his device. He is sending it back. I do not have the Montana to verify the problem (I am 99% sure the card is good). I have an sd slot on my laptop. Can I plug in the sd card and view it on my Garmin app to verify the card's validity? This was an Ebay transaction, and now I have a feeling that I will get back an empty sd card.
