No Connect software for "Garmin Swim"

My wife just got me the "Garmin Swim" for my birthday. It came with the USB chip and I thought, "Cool, I'll be able to track my swimming from my laptop." Nope. NO OPTION TO DOWNLOAD CONNECT FOR THIS WATCH. Has this option been removed? Because if so this is going back to the store and I'll be picking up another brand. Thanks in advance for the help!

If you would like to upload your swim sessions to Garmin Connect you will need to download Garmin Express. The Garmin Express program will allow your watch to communicate with your computer so that the data can be uploaded to Garmin Connect. For more information, and to download Garmin Express, visit www.garmin.com/express.

Thank you very much for the info. But then how do I access Connect? The "Swim" watch is not an option.

During the computer set up process Garmin Express will associate your Garmin Swim with your Garmin Connect account. You can then visit www.garmin.com/connect to sign in to your account and view your data.

If you are looking at a list of devices in the Garmin Connect Mobile app you will not see the Garmin Swim listed because the Garmin Swim does not have Bluetooth sync capabilities. That device was released before Bluetooth syncing was available in any Garmin fitness product. The Garmin Swim will sync wirelessly to your computer using the ANT Stick.

If you would like to use Garmin Connect Mobile to view your swim data, you can, but will need to sync through your computer first.
