New Feature Request: track sensors and their batteries as 'gear'

Just like i can track miles on my shoes so i might know when its time to start to think about replacing them, if I knew how when i last replaced the battery on my cadence sensor, speed sensor, or heart rate monitor, I am less likely to run out of battery on a long workout and miss out on the sensor data.
  • There is nothing stopping you from creating such gear of type ‘Other’ today.
  • In looking for a general feature request thread I found this.

    (1) I would like to second the vote for this feature. I agree a general equipment can be established for sensors now but we know Garmin can do better than that. Recently I noticed that if you dig down through the watch menu structure that I can get a connected sensor to tell me its battery health. That would be perfect information to update on connect each time a sensor is used. And it does not seem far fetched to expect that Garmin could create a clean "equipment" entry for each of their proprietary sensors. So great idea VCARROLA, I hope this happens.

    (2) I would also like to feature request for some way of seeing history on segments. I know that I can dig back through years of old activities but even that is not a complete history if you cross a segment two or more time in one activity. There needs to be a cleaner way to show all personal efforts for a segment in one list. The way Strava does this is pretty slick but I think there are other ways that would work easily in your structure.

    Thanks for your consideration.
