GC displaying wrongly swimming pace

Hi, Garmin Connect (in both mobile and desktop versions) is displaying wrongly pace for my last 2 swimming sessions (i.e instead of 1:36min/100m, GC shows 2:38min/100m). Oddly enough both sessions were using different firmwares 7.60 vs 8.00. Thus, I suspect it has more to do with Garmin Connect than with fenix3 itself.
Garmin, are you going to solve this soon?? Anyone has had this issue?? Thanks!

Here's the link from yesterday's session (watch was saying 1:36 vs 2:38):

  • It seems that it only happens when editing the swimming activity: just inserting some notes makes all pace data go wrong!!😕😕
Are you planning to solve this??

Is it possible to edit swimming activities? for example, if I do leg exercises, it counts 0m, and thus the session becomes shorter. Is it possible to edit it afterwards?

I was talking about editing just the activity name. For leg sets you can use the drill mode during your sessions and indicate the distance after each drill set.
Once done, you cannot edit your swim intervals on Garmin Connect, but you can use this tool, should you need to:

Back to the topic: any new update on it?? Is garmin planning to solve the issue??
  • I've noticed this too. Wondering if it's a Garmin Connect thing...because it's also happened to me on two different firmwares for fenix3. Freshly downloaded swim activities show pace ignoring rest periods...average pace is only the time you're moving. But once you do any editing, after refreshing then rest periods are taken into account for average pace. My most recent swim this morning (I took screenshots to document)...Time of 1:14:17, 3800yds, Pace 1:29min/100yd. Following editing the activity title, it now shows 1:57min/100yd for pace. Not a huge deal-breaker, but extremely frustrating when swims appear to be MUCH slower pace than reality. I've submitted a question to Garmin Support, but have not heard back yet.
  • My recent reply from Garmin Support regarding this issue. Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed. Sounds like a lazy fix, unless I'm missing something.

Thank you for contacting Garmin support. I will be happy to assist you with this.
We disabled the editing of swimming activities on purpose so that these issues would not happen.
By changing the title you are making it able to be edited which is causing these values to display incorrectly.
I'm very sorry but this decision was made by our engineers and is not planned on being changed.
If you would like to request the engineers make this change back please use the following web address:
