Speed and Elevation, But No Route - Fenix

I used my Fenix 3 a little over two weeks ago in an Ironman and it recorded the data perfectly.

Yesterday I went for a short ride. The device connected to the satellites and after I pressed start showed my speed/pace and time but did not start counting the distance. So no ride stats for distance and no trace.

The same happened in the evening - counted the time right and showed pace but didn't record where I was.

Then this morning I did a short run. This time it recorded (on the device) time/distance/speed etc fine, but then when I synced with Garmin connect (and Strava) it had all the data other than the route. So it showed elevation, distance, speed, time but had no map.

Ive tried to see if Ive accidentally changed a setting but surely if its showing my speed and distance (for the run) and knows elevation, then it should be recording my route????

Help!!
