Same. Yesterday and today. No map. I'm noticing it on other people's runs on Strava as well from the weekend, though not all. Definitely a more widespread service issue and likely not hardware/device specific. Educated guess.

If you would like help with a file just attach a copy of the original FIT file and someone will see if it can be fixed. :)

Fenix 3 maps not showing after run

I have had this problem for 2 months now.
Why does no-one from Garmin monitor these forums and provide assistance?
I emailed them and got a vague and cold response to try, tried tonight, didnt work and all it did was reset my watch and took ages to re-customise.
Further, my 12,000+ steps for the day were erased, which will also cause me to lose my streak...
VERY unhappy as I really enjoyed this feature and it seems to be noted in various places when googled but no answer from Garmin!
The problem is I have found that my watch is not picking up a GPS signal. I have turned watch off and on, done a hard reset, re-activated 'glonass', attached to computer and deleted files as instructed, etc but watch is still not finding a satellite in the sky so stays red when I run, used to go green and tell me it was connected and ready, now doesn't. Have several people who live near me with same watch and no issues, so much be a glitch and Garmin cant/wont bother fixing it???
C'mon Garmin, $1000 watch and you've not been very helpful so far...
Surely someone from Garmin can post a reason and solution on this forum??????????

    Problem Clarification

There seems to be a few similar issues, but just to clarify, this issue was best described in the original post... i have no map showing my route on Garmin Connect. All other data seems to be there and, distance, speed, intensity etc but no maps.""

When you go to the activity/run in Garmin Connect it used to show a map at the bottom of the page, with the data above (distance, time, etc). Now everything is the same, but no map showing at all. Nothing to do with STrava, other external apps, downloads, etc, just want to see a map of my run in the Garmin Connect app as we used to be able to.

Issue started for me around late Sep/early Oct and still trying to find a solution!
  • Lost map and GPX file export

Same issue and on top of it the exported GPX file seems to be empty => no tracker shows any route. V.
  • Solved

Swith off and switch on my Fenix 3 solved it in less than 1 minute :D

Tried that. No change. Didnt work.
  • restarting my watch (holding the light/power button for 15 seconds) resolved the problem for me!
