Auto-pause/Auto-Resume

I have the Garmin Vivosmart HR+ and am having some issues with it continually going into Auto-pause mode. I'm definitely still walking and pretty much at the same pace, but it just constantly goes into an auto-pause to auto-resume cycle. I even make sure my arm is moving. I can't tell if it is still recording anything while it is in pause mode. I'm not sure what this mode is based on.
