contacted garmin support over unable to get strava on my edege 1000 after hard reset ,what i am being told is to remove stava permission which is on account information in settings .i have checked this on my connect but there is nothing about removing stava permissions on my connect ,could someone check if remove stava permissions is on there connect for me and if ayone knows how to fix it
Go To Settings >> Account Information. https://connect.garmin.com/modern/account You should see Strava with "read" permission. To the right of that is the option "Remove Permission."
Then the permissions have already been removed. If you're trying to reestablish the link with Strava, go to to strava.com >> My Profile >> Social Connections. The Garmin Connect icon will say "Connected." Click "Disconnect" Click "Connect with Garmin" Click "Authorize App" Enter your credentials for Garmin Connect, then Sign in. Then go back to Garmin Connect >> Settings >> Account Information - you should now see Strava listed with read permission.
Maybe you're on the wrong page. Can you send a screenshot?
No luck for me either. Impossible to load/sync Strava segments to Garmin Edge 1000. Latest software in use all around. Tried a million options. So far, impossible, no segments at all in Garmin device.
I'm having a similar or the same problem. I performed a master rest after updating to v10.00 and cannot get my Strava segments to sync with the device.
I've tried all the FAQ suggestions around revoking Strava<->Garmin Connect permissions, I've reset my device again, I've turned Strava segment off and on again. All with no joy.
What I do see though is that when I star Strava segments the the number in the blue circle showing the number of items waiting to sync increases.
However, when I expand the tab, it shows that there is nothing is waiting to be synced.
If I try to sync any other kind of data such as device settings, training zones or Garmin Connect Courses it works exactly as expected and these arrive at my Edge 1000 successfully using any of Garmin Express (via USB), WiFi, or Garmin Connect Mobile & Bluetooth (via Phone).
For some reason, Garmin Connect appears to be having an issue with presenting Strava Segments correctly for syncing to the device.
