Problems pairing Fenix 2 and Garmin Connect

Hi everybody, first of all sorry for my not-perfect english. This is my first post even if I'm Garmin customer for many years.
I can't associate my Fenix2 to an android mobile with Garmin Connect. I've checked everything, BT is enabled, tried to hard reset fenix, reinstall GC, every time problem is the same: app says device connects and authenticated, it reads id file correctly and then device registration fail (OTHER_FATAL error code)!
Please note that I used the Fenix before on another mobile (but exactly same model), with another Garmin account (and now I've deleted device from old list, so there aren't duplicated Id) and the watch has no problems if I update gpx manually.
Any suggestion? I also tried to enable "device connection aid", but result is the same.

  • There is a procedure for pairing the Fenix 2 in the middle of this thread: https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?362209-Bluetooth-stopped-working on the Fenix 2 forum. It may or may not work for you, some get it working, some don't.

    Essentially, first remove the Fenix2 from the devices in the GCM app. Then go to the Bluetooth settings in the phone and pair the Fenix 2. Then open the GCM app and the Fenix 2 should sync.

    Thanks Twinaxx, after several attempts it works! The strange thing is that mobile always show error on pin code attempting BT pairing even if code is correct (I tried many times), but after that, under Garmin Connect pairing works. Anyway thanks again.
